A Review On Behen Hogi Teri
‘Behen Hogi Teri’, is an Indian romantic comedy movie, starring Rajkumar Rao as Gattu and Shruti Haasan as Binny. It was released on 9th June, 2017. Directed by Ajay K Pannalal, one of the major plus points of this movie is definitely the charming acting of Rajkumar Rao. The story is set against the background of the mahalla of Lucknow.
The major problem between both of these love birds stems from the general Indian saying that, ‘mohalle ki ladkiyan behen ho hoti hain’, meaning, the girls from your neighbourhood should be considered as your own sister, thus prohibiting any chance of the development of romantic interest towards them.
As it is obvious Gattu fights against all odds to win Binny, which involves the other characters, like Gattu’s friend Bhura, played by Herry Tangri, Binny’s family members, etc. The problem is Gsttu seems to be a good for nothing fellow, who hasn’t even finished his studies. Binny’s family sees him as her neighbour cum brother only. The rest of the movie is about Gattu’s struggle to win Binny against all the problems.
The movie does have some flaws and one of that is definitely, Gattu being too reckless about his career. Apart from Rajkumar Rao’s great performance, some of the entertaining aspects of the film are definitely the dialogues, some great punch lines like, “Mohalle ke ladko ko Rakhi ke din Conjuring se bhi zyada darr lagta hai” etc. If you want to enjoy some light hearted comedy, without thinking too much, this movie can be your option.
